Solar Simulation is gaining a lot of traction in today’s markets. Industrial processes like, e.g., aerospace, automotive, photochemical catalysis, quality assurance, coatings, material degradation, and photovoltaic production & testing require accurate testing equipment which provides constant and reliable output.

Even though discharge lamps have long been the go-to solution for such applications, the industry is switching to high-intensities LEDs for increased process stability and safety, spectral flexibility, lifespan, and pulse drive control.

  1. Material Testing: Determine the aging behavior metals, coatings, plastics, and complex components under changing radiation compositions and irradiance levels. Expose unwanted material effects and determine the durability of the probes.
  2. PV Module Testing:

    Quality assurance is a crucial factor in the PV manufacturing industry. Identifying defects early and proactively helps the actively steer production processes and deliver the highest quality products.

    Microcracks, for example, cannot be detected by visual inspection alone but may develop into a loss of active cell area and reduce the output of the module. In some cases it can lead to diode activation or hot sports which represent a safety risk.

    Our UV-LED testing equipment allows you to identify and eliminate these risk and only ship the highest quality products to your customers.

  3. Photochemistry: Solar simulators help determine on how cosmetics and sunscreens react or degrade, when exposed to sunlight. These experiments are conducted to determine the Sun Protection Factor (SPF) or to discover unwanted reactions, e.g., color changes.
